Burial and Sumaging Cave at Sagada

Preparing for the cave adventures
We’re supposed to go to Bomod-ok Falls on the first day pero sa sagwa ng panahon, we headed to the caves na lang.

We first went to Burial Cave where you can find the hanging coffins. It was their tradition to buried their dead loved ones at the cave long time ago.

I was surprised how they did it. First, lalagay muna nila ang coffin sa itaas ng mga bato using a rope. Tapos, isusunod nila yung bangkay sa coffin. I was wondering why not put the dead body to the coffin then pull it up para isang lagayan na lang. Hmm…
After the Burial cave we proceeded to Sumaging cave, a few meters away lang. This is the main reason why I’m on this tour. It’s where the real adventure happened.

Papasok pa lang ng cave, mahirap na. Dahil masyadong madulas ang mga bato because of mud and poopoo ng mga bats (Ewww!). Eh I was just wearing ordinary slipper kaya lalo kong nadudulas. Kaya nagpaa na lng ako all the way down.
Buti na lang nakaka extra ko sa pics.. hehe. 
The cave was my favorite part of the tour. At nang mapasok namin yung loob ng cave, I was so amazed. Sobrang kakaibang experience sa loob. I never thought I could have an adventure like this. Talagang nakakamangha.
Epal na naman ako! (hindi naman obvious eh)
‘Nga lang, wala kame masyado pictures because I can’t seem to figure out how to shoot at dark areas. The slr isn’t focusing, maybe because I have the wrong settings. But later after the cave tour, I found out, there’s a flash settings. I just need to increase the exposure of the flash to be able to shoot at dark areas. Well, at least now I know pero bad trip pa rin. 
Hanggang pag-alis namin sa cave medyo mahirap pa rin. Pero going up is easier than going down, nakakahingal nga lang.

This is the most exhausting adventure we had here in Sagada but it’s worth it. Pero kung pauulitin ako siguro, hmm… I’ll have a second thought.. Parang ‘wag na lang. hehe.. Kapagod eh, sobra!

Alam niyo ba na ‘yung ginawa natin na spelunking ay ‘yung “EASY” version?? EASY lang ‘yun? Grabe naman..
Sabi ng dating IT sa dati kong site, may “HARD” version daw. Hindi raw sa Sumaguing Cave ang entrance. Nakalimutan ko kung anong name ng cave kapag hard version.

Ahhh… siguro ang “hard” version ay kung doon sa Lumiang cave dadaan. Connected daw Lumiang cave at Sumaging cave.
Bayaan niyo, babalik ako doon. Gagawin ko ang “hard” spelunking. Kuwentuhan ko na lang kayo hehe Ü

haaay…ok na ako sa easy na sinasabi nyo kasi for me HARD na yun eh as in!!at ok na rin ako I was able to explore the cave and overcome my fear of heights… NEXT STOP…CEBU so Excited!!!

hehe.. mag move on ka na sa ipod at psp mo Ü mapapalitan din mga yun ng mas magaganda. ganun talaga. you win some, you lose some. there’s a rainbow after the rain..birds of the same feather are beautiful..when the cat is away, the mouse is alone..1 apple a day equals 7 apples a week..a family that prays together has only 1 rosary..
