City Tour in Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Puerto Princesa, Palawan is said to be the largest city in the Philippines in terms of total land area and it’s indeed true as I was there to witness it and its beauty.
Puerto Princesa is famous for its crocodile farm, underground river and dive spots. And I’m glad to have visited these amazing places.
It was 10:30 am when we arrived in Puerto Princesa.

Gino, Steph, Marion, Edi & Jay
We were greeted by a man holding a placard with “Mr.” Edi Cadangan as a notice (sabi na nga ba eh, lalaki si Edi).

After lunch, we toured the city. We stop by first in Plaza Cuartel and Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral. Plaza Cuartel was used in World War II as a prison for americans. The Japanese captured 150 americans and burned them to death (Trivia lang).
The first mass in Palawan was held in Immaculate Conception Cathedral. ‘Nga lang, bagong pintura. Sayang hindi napreserve yung Church, mas maganda siguro kung mukhang luma talaga yun.
Bunuatan Creations was our second destination. At Binuatan Creations, they transform local fibers and grasses into sophisticated hand-loom woven products. And as you can see in the picture below, the bags are really cute (na-bading! hehe).
We went to Mitra’s hacienda afterward, and it was really cool. Kung ganyan ang bahay ko, malamang hindi na’ko lalabas. They have great views and yung ambiance was really cozy.
Amazing view at Mitra’s mansion
We also visited Baker’s Hill. Siguro kung may kasama kayo mga kids, maeenjoy nila ang place na ‘to. Dito ko naenjoy magphoto shoot because of the colorful surroundings, carved figures and cartoon characters, and animals.
The last place we visited was the Crocodile Farm and Nature Park. May ganito pala sa Pilipinas. Hehe.. Andaming Crocs, katakot!
We got easily tired touring the city, maybe because we haven’t had sleep since galing pa kami sa work. Kaya pag-uwi namin sa Duchess Hotel after the tour, nakatulog na kagad kami ni Edi without having a dinner.
First day pa lang ‘to! On my next post, kwento ko naman ang Honda Bay adventures namin.
