KaLui ng Puerto Princesa

KaLui is a fish restaurant which is famous in Puerto Princesa. KaLui has made it to the Authors choice of Lonely Planet 2006 (book).
We heard from our tour guide that we should make a reservation before going there. Edi and I went there early around 6pm and luckily, there’s still one table available.
As we entered the restaurant, I was amazed on how they decorated the place in a traditional manor. So it is a quite interesting thing to look at your surroundings while having your meal. The no shoes policy also added a feel of being in a local place.

The food was really good. The service was fairly rapid which you should expect from the huge staff they have. The prices was a bit higher than usual for the Philippines but still reasonable for the quality of the food.

And because the place is very popular, bigger groups should book ahead and even a small group can consider doing so to avoid having to wait to get seated.
