Yesterday, I was wondering why I can surf the internet even though our Wi-Fi in the office is turned off. When I looked at my iPhone, I saw a 3G next to my Globe Signal icon. I turned off my 3G and still the internet continues. Then I saw a letter “E” next to the Globe signal icon.

I checked Inal’s iPhone if we have the same signal. I asked her why I can surf the NET. She told me to disable Cellular Data also but my internet was still working. Then she told me to add “123” at the end of the Cellular Data and MMS’ APN and just remove it when I want to use the internet via 3G or Globe connection. That worked! I got disconnected to the internet.

Lessons learned, when ever you have a new phone, always check the 3G and Cellular Data status. If it’s enabled, you need to turn it off and just open it when you want to use the internet via 3G or Cellular connection. You don’t want to get unwanted huge bills, right?!

Woohoo, this is my new gadget. I’m so excited to use it next week for my outdoor portrait shoot-out. I think this is my first good buy. The first of which I know where I will use it.

I learned from the Gurus of Imagine Nations that an 85mm is the best lens for portraits. I bought it yesterday at Pixel Pro Megamall. I thought of buying the f/1.4 but it’s to expensive for me so I went to f/1.8D which is still a good buy.

I’m going to the three falls of Rizal today to survey the place. Next week, I’m planning a Dyosa Theme portraits in one these falls.

Last week as I was talking to my office-mates online, my macbook’s 60W power adapter gave up. I noticed it wasn’t charging anymore. Adding to my list of bad luck; my Ipod Hi-Fi, my 3 desktop PCs and my TV are all malfunctioning. grrrhh… I was a victim of typhoon Ondoy (just so you all know!)

Ok, enough of this crap! This won’t ruin my month as I am leaving tomorrow for Cebu and Bohol trip. It’s going to be fun for sure.

Boohoo! I just accomplished one of my wish in my 2009 Wishlist. Yup, I bought my first DSLR yesterday. The “Nikon d90” is my ultimate gadget for this year and I’m happy to have it now.

Too bad, I can’t use it now because I still need to buy a lens. I’m planning to buy “Nikon AFS 16-85mm f3.5-5.6 VR” or “Nikon AFS 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 VR” this week or next week and also “Nikon AFS 60mm f2.8 G Micro” at the end of the year. But I still have lots of stuff I need to buy first before getting Nikon AFS 60mm. I have to buy a Flash (Nikon SB 600), battery pack, tripod and dry box (Oh men, this hobby is too expensive!).
