Some Things You Need to Know as Globe Users

Yesterday, I was wondering why I can surf the internet even though our Wi-Fi in the office is turned off. When I looked at my iPhone, I saw a 3G next to my Globe Signal icon. I turned off my 3G and still the internet continues. Then I saw a letter “E” next to the Globe signal icon.
I checked Inal’s iPhone if we have the same signal. I asked her why I can surf the NET. She told me to disable Cellular Data also but my internet was still working. Then she told me to add “123” at the end of the Cellular Data and MMS’ APN and just remove it when I want to use the internet via 3G or Globe connection. That worked! I got disconnected to the internet.
Lessons learned, when ever you have a new phone, always check the 3G and Cellular Data status. If it’s enabled, you need to turn it off and just open it when you want to use the internet via 3G or Cellular connection. You don’t want to get unwanted huge bills, right?!
