While checking my site awhile ago, I noticed when clicking any links, I will be redirected to my error page since those links do not exist. Man, I’ve been hacked! And that kups added some malicious code to my permanent links. Good thing I noticed.
I checked on the themes that I created. I checked all the php pages but it’s not there. Then, I noticed the links are the only issue so I checked the settings on my Permalinks tab, and boom! It’s there! He changed my common settings to “Custom Structure” and edited the url.
Hmm.. I’m wondering how that kups was able to get those code inside my system. So to ensure my site’ security, I updated my WordPress version and also my password (a very long password!).
