In our first session, Jason De Guzman (our mentor) talked about the history; the basic and it’s importance. He discussed the brief history of how photography started. Syempre, I don’t want to go into detail about it pero ang isa sa pinaka tumatak sa akin eh yung “Kodak” pala, was the one who invented Digital Camera. Kaso they we’re so into film at sobrang dun sila kumikita kaya they didn’t buy into the idea. At paglipas ng panahon, natabunan na sila ng Canon and Nikon at maraming pang iba.
Photography is a combination of technical and art. Learning the basic of photography is very important. You won’t be able to produce a good quality photo if you don’t know how to use your camera. So the first thing to do when you buy your own camera is to read the manual. I already knew how to use my camera except for the “Manual Mode” and proper exposure.

Practicing Manual Mode
Before, I just shoot using the automatic mode of aperture and shutter which is helpful din naman if you don’t know how to use the manual. But upon learning the manual mode, I think it’s better to shoot in this mode because you have more control over your exposure. And like what jason said, the camera should give you the output of what you envisioned. The camera is the tool to give you the end result of what you want to see in the picture. So using this mode would give you more freedom to express yourself.
