KaLui is a fish restaurant which is famous in Puerto Princesa. KaLui has made it to the Authors choice of Lonely Planet 2006 (book).
We heard from our tour guide that we should make a reservation before going there. Edi and I went there early around 6pm and luckily, there’s still one table available.
As we entered the restaurant, I was amazed on how they decorated the place in a traditional manor. So it is a quite interesting thing to look at your surroundings while having your meal. The no shoes policy also added a feel of being in a local place.

On our last itinerary, we visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, also known as the Underground River.
The land travel from the city to Sabang beach took us approximately 3 hours. It was raining when we got there. Kuya Mol, our tour guide went to the park office to get a permit to visit the Underground River. He booked us for a boat to the river entrance.
We waited for our turn to get in the boat. The park office has a numbering system per group making it more systematic. The boat only carries 6 people.
On our way to the Underground River entrance, we were amazed on how strong the waves are. It got me really scared because my life-vest sucks big time. It’s still raining on our way to the underground.

Honda Bay is a group of small islands lined with fine white sand beaches. Our trip to Honda Bay was an all-day trip and actually an island hopping tour. We toured three islands and these are Pandan Island, Snake Island and Starfish Island. We’re supposed to visit Pambato Coral Reef but the waves and sudden weather change didn’t allowed us. But it’s still fun!
Anyway, we left the hotel around 8am for the Honda Bay tour. It took us 30 minutes ride going to Honda Bay Port. We brought a snorkeling gear, change clothes and underwater camera.
