I’ve been HACKED!!!

September 4, 2009 | Filed under Web | 188 views

While checking my site awhile ago, I noticed when clicking any links, I will be redirected to my error page since those links do not exist. Man, I’ve been hacked! And that kups added some malicious code to my permanent links. Good thing I noticed.

I checked on the themes that I created. I checked all the php pages but it’s not there. Then, I noticed the links are the only issue so I checked the settings on my Permalinks tab, and boom! It’s there! He changed my common settings to “Custom Structure” and edited the url.

Hmm.. I’m wondering how that kups was able to get those code inside my system. So to ensure my site’ security, I updated my Wordpress version and also my password (a very long password!).

Twitter Bug?

April 16, 2009 | Filed under Web | 97 views

I just received a comment that my page is getting antivirus alert, I wonder why. And I noticed my page load slowly. Hmm..

I’m not sure if it is the twitter script I added that’s causing this. So I made a test, I removed the twitter script to my page and it loads faster. I think it’s understandable since my page is getting the twitter content from another site (my twitter account). And the script has javascript which I’m sure the one causing my page to load slowly. But the virus alert.. I don’t think so.

Maybe, I need to do more testing. If the twitter is the problem, I might remove it from my site.

mytwitteracct

Yup, I’m a Twitter user now. I’ve been hearing this word for quite some time now but I’m not sure what it is. I heard it when watching television, NBA, etc. It’s everywhere now so might as well join them. hehe..

I have incorporated my twitter to my site. It’s at the top of my page with the talk Bubble image and twitter logo background. It shows my recent twitter. cool! Smile

You can follow me by visiting http://twitter.com/uricomondelo (my twitter account).

10 Reasons Why I Love Gmail

March 25, 2009 | Filed under Web | 105 views

  1. YouTube, Picasa, Flickr, and Yelp previews
Instead of just links, see previews of photos, videos, and reviews right in your email.
  2. Undo send
Oops, hit “Send” too soon? Give yourself a grace period of a few seconds to cancel sending, then edit your message before sending again.
  3. Offline
Make Gmail work even when you’re not connected to the internet.
  4. View as slideshow
Now you can open PowerPoint attachments as slideshows, without having to download anything. Just click “View as slideshow” next to the .ppt attachment you want to preview. Since you can open .doc and .xls attachments with Google Docs and Spreadsheets too, there’s no need to leave your web browser to check out your Gmail attachments.
  5. Increased attachment limit– 20 MB!
Now you can start sharing more of those home videos, large presentations and files you just can’t seem to get smaller. We have doubled the allowable attachment size to 20 MB to make your Gmail space even more useful.
